The choreographer describes herself as "tattooed" by certain shots from Eisenstein, Fellini, Bresson and Kurosawa, but more than that, she seems to be marked by cinema as the art of making things appear and disappear. The art of making images appear and of making them disappear, through the fundamental use of black and shadow.
